About Meditation

Meditation is the process of quieting the body and mind in order to rediscover the deep sense of calm that exists at the very core of our being. When we meditate our breathing slows, our blood pressure decreases, and our stress hormone levels normalize. Meditation is the most direct way to release from toxic habits and the daily effects of stress while tapping in to our body’s natural intelligence.


With meditation we are re-connecting with our essential inner-self, taking us along the path to improved health, more fulfilling relationships, enthusiasm for life and increased creativity. Research reveals that with a daily routine of meditation we enable our body and mind to cope more effectively with the rigour and stress of daily life.


Meditation has been commonplace in many cultures for thousands of years, enabling people to move beyond the mind’s intense activity and emotional turbulence and into profound peace and expanded awareness. Meditation is beneficial to people of all ages and can be easily adapted to suit any lifestyle.


At Freedom Within, I practice and teach Primordial Sound Meditation, a modern program and technique of meditation introduced to the West by Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon MD. This easy to learn program is effective because it gets people over the hurdles and into a consistent daily practice of meditation. Practiced on a daily basis, meditation will lead to a life of greater fulfillment, happiness and health.
